A Rough Map

We need a better idea of the geography of the fourth world, so I've put together a rough map of the way things look to me...

Have a look at it and see what you think. Andy 11:57, 12 May 2008 (BST)

I had it in my head that Balvase was bigger, perhaps two-thirds the size of Coruvain. And Coruvain is on an angle, so the Laertian coast is pointed towards the south-west and the western ends of the Draken Empire and Centaur/Rhinomen lands are pointing north-east and just edging over the equator. But yes, mostly the way I saw it (and the way I was starting to draw my map of it...).--Alex 13:15, 12 May 2008 (BST)

It looks a bit bare to me. I think we need a few more land masses to fill up all that blue. Andy 13:10, 19 May 2008 (BST)

Well since you wanted to keep the Draken Empire out of Belvase for the most part we might as well stick another landmass in the north which the Draken Empire would have expanded into but not wholly taken over before their decline and fall back into Coruvain. Maybe have it stretch on a north-west to south east axis to create a reverse C shape with Coruvain? --Alex 21:10, 19 May 2008 (BST)

If you like. Geoff hasn't mentioned where his Samauri cats are hanging around yet. Andy 12:27, 20 May 2008 (BST)

It would make a certain amount of geological sense. If we look at what we have and try and work out where the tectonic plates are we can see that Kalchichi and Balvase are on two different plates which are approaching each other and pushing up the Gateway Islands. Coruvain is clearly the meeting point of three different plates. One is the Antarctic/Rhino Man territory plate which is moving northwards, up from the south pole. There's the Laertian one which covers the Laertian Coast and a large chunk of the seabed to the north-west of Coruvain, which is heading north-west away from the other two, but not fast enough. And then there's the bit which has Draken and Keffen on which could also include any small continent to the north of Coruvain which would be heading south and crashing into both of the others. Which I would guess make the line dividing Draken from the Centaur/Rhino zone the most geologically unstable since their the ones pushing directly into each other...--Alex 20:41, 20 May 2008 (BST)

I've been thinking more about this extra bit of land. Why not stick craigs satyr on it. They are supposed to be a Major race, but no one has mentioned them yet. I was thinking that maybe the Draken empire invaded the southern region, while the north remained free, and even todaty a cultural divide remains, whith the south being more coruvian. I thought the south would display Craigs vision of Satyrs in buisiness suits, while up north I foresee turbans... Andy 11:40, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

Could work. Since the Draken Empire is a kind of mix of the Romans and Chinese I guess the southern satyr would be kind of slightly oriental but with a definite difference between them and the Draken. So kind of Japanese. Which would explain the business-oriented suit-wearing satyr. And it gives us the option of samurai satyr which is too funny to ignore. --Alex 12:39, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

I think Geoff imagined the Malkin was being japanese-esqu. I they could be some connection between the two cultures I suppose. In any event, I think Samuri would be a bit historic by now. Perhaps the Malkin should be more Korean, seeing as they come from the Marabass jungle. Either way, it suggest some interconnection between the three groups. Andy 15:02, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
