[edit] Possible dates

OK. Radical idea but hear me out. Rather than try and hammer out when the next meet is at each meet can we try and pin down about five or six weekends we'll try for over April thru September. Obviously we won't be able to do all of these as people will have unavoidable stuff come up. But if we have those dates in our diaries, and if people try and avoid those dates for other stuff if at all possible, then we might get maybe three of them over summer. How do people feel about that?--Alex 17:45, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

OK, here's some from me that I'm currently free:

May 17/18 June 28/29 July 5/6 July 19/20 July 26/27

Generally free at the moment in August (except bank holiday weekend). Sep and Oct are always a nightmare for various reasons.

Ed 13:18, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

Ed's May-to-July dates look fine for me, and August is clear. --Kevan 16:04, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Ah, sorry, June the 28th and 29th have since become booked up for me, as I'll be closely involved with the running of the Hide and Seek Pervasive Gaming Festival that weekend. May and July are still clear, though. --Kevan 17:36, 11 April 2008 (BST)

I'm afraid the May one is out, but June/July/August look fine by me. Craig 17:18, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] July 2008

So, we're looking at the two weeks in July. Is everyone still OK with those? Or are we just going to forget this year and try again in 2009? --Alex 17:52, 11 April 2008 (BST)

Does anyone have any objections to doing both the two July dates? It means doing two weekends in quick succession, but that might not be a bad thing...

(edit) Okay just re-read the page, there's actually three dates in July proposed, aren't there. Probably still just do two of them though. To keep a little distance between them maybe the first one ( 6th/7th) and one of the other two. Well unless its easier for people to get two weekends right next to each other free...

--Craig 00:16, 13 April 2008 (BST)

Alas, I can't do the first weekend in July (5/6). Am definitely free on 19/20 July though, so am going to pencil this in now, then I won't go and double-book anything. Ed 14:37, 8 May 2008 (BST)

As we are approaching July now, can everyone confirm that they definitly aren't double booked on the 19/20th of July and also check whether its posible to do the following weekend too (26/27th) as just doing one weekend this year would be rather pittiful.

Following the rota this second weekend would be Ed and my brother, but if Ed doesn't feel he has enough material prepared for two weekends on the trot then my brother has said he has enough ready to do a whole weekend.

Craig 10:41, 4 June 2008 (BST)

I'll probably be free, although I'll be living in another part of the country at this point, so I'll have to see what the public transport is like. Andy 15:12, 4 June 2008 (BST)

Its looking a little unlikely that andy will be able to make the coming do. Although I havent heard for definate from him it is going to be very dificult for him to make it from his new placement in Summerset. He is also stugling to get any internet time at mo, if I hear anything new from him I will endeavor to update you on whether he is comming - geoff 9 july 2008

Ah. Bum. I was just coming on here to poke people as well.

Hmm, I do believe my brother has stuff for his campaign ready, so we could just do Dark Age instead of RAM (along with the scheduled Taladas) and play with a man down. We've done it plenty of times before, and I think I'd rather this as it means that otherwise there will be no gaming-meet-ups at all this year, which is a bit pants...

I'll try and get hold of him to check if he has.

Craig 19:55, 9 July 2008 (BST)

Have just had a text from Ed asking if anything's happening on the 19th and 20th; I'm still up for that, if it's happening. --Kevan 17:49, 11 July 2008 (BST)

Yeah, I had one checking if it was still going ahead too. I let him know that it probably was, just without Andy. Now with a (kind-of) confirmation from you as well (and I assume Geoff too as he is aware of when it's planned for) I think we can make that an almost-certainty. Yay.

Craig 19:44, 11 July 2008 (BST)

OK, looks like 19/20 July is on. I can't do the following weekend, but hopefully we can manage another one in the Autumn.

Ed 17:05, 13 July 2008 (BST)

It's probably a tad late to be sorting out dates for January now (especially as I'll be busy the last weekend of the month...) but shall we sort something out for February? I only have one busy weekend at the moment, the 6th/7th, so anytime after that should be okay with me...
Craig 13:58, 6 January 2010 (UTC)

How about the last weekend in February? The 27th/28th. Does that work for everyone? Cheers Ed 17:19, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

The weekend is fine, but I've got something on the Friday evening, so will probably be on the same train as Ed, if we do this. --Kevan 19:34, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
Sorry to put a kibosh on things but I've got work on every weekend in February. I'm free on the first and third weekends in March (and can do the other two if you give me enough warning to get a swap with one of my colleagues). Sorry. --Alex 10:32, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
I'm already busy on the first weekend in March, so how's the third weekend for everyone else..? Craig 15:06, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
yep, the third weekend in March works for me Ed 10:45, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
Fine for me. --Kevan 14:40, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
March is ok at the moment. Andy 18:57, 17 January 2010 (UTC)
have no idea moving house as soon just waiting on solicitors to pull thumb out and sort things like a date! All i can say is set a date and i will try and clear it--Geoff 22:51, 22 January 2010 (UTC)
I've just taken the whole week before off as holiday, so should have no excuse not to have written something. See you guys then.--Alex 11:35, 23 January 2010 (UTC)
OK, still not got started on writing any adventure material. I hope someone else has something written... :) A quick warning for everyone. The pilot light in the gas heater has gone and will probably not get fixed until April. It can (and probably will) be lit by hand on the weekend but it might still be cold, so bring some warm clothes. Also I have been adding more bits of furniture, so space is even more cramped than before. Therefore it might be easier if Andrew was able to stay at Geoff's. We may well be able to accomodate you in the summer, when we can get someone sleeping in the kitchen, but I don't really feel comfortable asking someone to do that in the winter. Looking forward to seeing you all again. --Alex 11:39, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
I've got quite a bit written for the AD&D campaign so we should be fine. By the way, I've booked into the Travelodge next to Pride Park (Derby aren't playing at home that weekend so the rooms are super cheap); thought that would help with the space issues this time round. It will also mean I don't have to lug my inflatable bed all the way to Derby! :-) Ed 11:07, 7 March 2010 (UTC)
Is that the one directly opposite the stadium? I walk past that most days on my way to work. I can show you the easy walk to that, no problem.--Alex 13:25, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
