Very little is known about the real Grundy. The golems have many legends about him but most appear to be more based on the morality of the story itself, as a opposed to telling a true historical account of his life.

The very existence of this mythical golem has been denounced by many historians (many kobold historians) as the demented rambling of malfunctioning golems. An argument that is supported by there being no documented cases of rouge self willed golems older than 300 years and no living golem older than this date. On the other hand the brother hood has a few relic peaces that they claim have been paced from one golem to another for many hundreds of years. Other more open minded Religious Historians put foreword the idea that Grundy is in fact a rouge nature deity, that has moved into the body of these golem after the gross miss use of the environment by the kobalds. Tjis would certainly explain a little of the bad will that these two races have for each other and also the strange love for living plant that a lot of golems seam to have.

In truth the whole religion of Grundy is more akin to a Philosophy on how to live your life and attain a greater awareness. This state of grater awareness appears to be attaining a place among the living spirits of all golems.
