Gunzer Talkchi

Historically, Talkchi has been one of the major driving forces behind the Kalchichi's industrial expansion. While not a technological genius, he has a faultless eye for spotting ideas with potential and utlising them to the greatest extent possible.

Talkchi is the oldesr member of the Zaphod Triad. He still owns huge amounts of industry and has become so wealthy over the years that he is often contacted by the Bank of Aurum before major decisions are made. Gunzers influence is mostly secular, and stretches over sea. It is sometimes said that what Hasi Calume cannot destroy, Gunzer buys.

Talkchi's industry has also created much of the polulion problems that now aflict Kalchichi. As a consewquence, hw has a bad name amongst environmental groups. However, it is less well know the Talkchi also owns large amounts of farm land (Much of it in Balvase.) and has taken pains in recent years to reduce the amount of polution his industries produce.

Unfortunately, the continual power struggle between himself and Calume means that his efforts are limited. With the Emperor refusing to instate laws that might make such environmental measures profitable, Talkchi often has little choice except to continue down the same path or loose his industrial supremecy. That appears to be a price he is unwilling to pay.
