Kedri Whiteclaw

Kedri was born in a small community amongst the barbarians of northern Hosk. His early years were unremarkable. He was a hunter and warrior among his people and seemed destined to live a long, if unproductive, life. Then the minotaurs came.

Kedri was among the hunters who went to deal with a minotaur warband that was threatening the villages in the area. In the resulting skirmish he was caught in a landslide caused by the minotaur warriors. Left for dead he slowly began to starve. On the fourth day he awoke to find a bear stood in front of him. This giant white bear watched him for an hour, as he kept himself perfectly still, before finally, just as he felt himself blacking out it spoke.

It told him that he was special, and had been chosen to serve Ursa, the Great White Bear. Kedri swore himself to Ursa’s service and when he woke again he forced his way free of the rocks that had held him down. When his wounds healed he began to wander the land, helping the helpless, defending those with no other guardians. As he travelled he uncovered the powers Ursa had granted him. Gradually his course took him south and he eventually passed into Bissel, where he was asked to help the Heroes of the Vale in their quest to reunite the five swords of his people. He gladly agreed to help them but only journeyed a short way with them before he fell in battle, loyal to the Great White Bear to the end.
