Lord Dyhe the Crucifier

Lord Dyhe was an entity that the group met in a part of Ravenloft that resembled, or might have actually been, the Vale of the Mage. A tripled head monstrosity of steel and flesh, Dyhe was a fusion of many facets of Schallat's life.

Both Dyhe and his realm were manifestations of... evil. Whether they represented something that was going to happen in the future, something that had already occurred, or something that might have happened but never did outside of Ravenloft was unclear.

In any even, Shallat and his companions found themselves wondering through the demi-plane of dread once more, after slipping through the walls of reality. As they discovered, Lord Dyhe had been created many years ago when a different version of Shallat and the trident did battle against a dwarven liche. It was a battle they won, but the trident's irrational hatred of dwarves had drawn the attention of the powers that be in Ravenloft, and was 'rewarded'.

Over time Shallat and the trident had fused together into Dyhe. Each of his three heads represented a different aspect of his components. The central, dominant head was that of the trident, twisted and evil. It was alert and vigilant. One head was that of Hyde, and it slipped between periods of sleep and insane jibbering. The last was Shallat, and it remained in torpor.

All of this did nothing to diminish the tridents hatred of dwarves. He wanted to open up a portal to Taladas and send through an army of goblyns to devour everyone under the height of 5'. Fortunately, the Shallat head finally awakened during the ritual to open the gate and instead he allowed the adventurers to pass through before destroying both himself and the realm he occupied.
