Major Dirk Pitt

The field commander of the NLEF project he is a man with a mysterious past. It is rumoured that he and Al Giordino were not born on Rifts Earth and are in fact D-Bees. It is said they were kidnapped by the multi-dimensional slavers of Atlantis, but are some of the few to ever escape from that monster-filled land.

Since coming to New Lazlo he has proved himself to be a great asset to the town and has saved it from monsters and its people from bandits on many occasions. He has picked up a reputation as a swashbuckling adventurer and romantic hero, which makes it no surprise that he has been selected to head up the project.

NLEF 5 first met him when the mystic knights attacked the Westchester hotel. Pitt immediately took charge of the situation and planned the counter attack. He also sponsored them for the promotion to primary NLEF team membership.
