No more immortals

The Fourth world already has quite a lot of immortals and people of extreme longevity - the Zaphor Triad, king Kell, the demonic rulers of Riven, the Lich King and, indeed, the entire population of the Antarctic free state.

I propose that this is quite enough. From now on, everyone else we introduce needs a pension plan. Any objections? Andy 11:45, 23 May 2008 (BST)

Kel was the only true immortal I wanted to have. There may be some extended lifespans (I'm thinking rhino men have a longer-than-human lifespan, something close to 125 years) but I'm done with out and out immortals. You forgot to mention cog golems in your list by the way.--Alex 17:57, 24 May 2008 (BST)

So I did. Rhinomen at 125 i3 fine, that definitely still mortal. It sounds similar to kobold life expectancy, actually. Andy 11:38, 25 May 2008 (BST)

Actually I was thinking about giving the cog golems a limited life span. Quite long but not immortal after all even big Ben wares out in the end say about 500 before chronic rust and fatigue set in.--Geoff 14:28, 25 May 2008 (BST)

AH HA! See, I knew there was a reason I didn't mention them. Andy 16:11, 26 May 2008 (BST)

Although with their passing on bits to each other that is a kind of immortality...--Alex 16:05, 28 May 2008 (BST)

Part exchange is more like golem DNA than immortality --Geoff 18:56, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
