Realm of Chaos
From RPGwiki
Yeah I remember that one. I think my band were trying to prevent the theft if I recall correctly. Therefore they were all in disguise, waiting to ambush the robbers. I'm a bit murky as to how the likes of my minotaur, dragon-ogre and fleshhounds hid themselves, but the wyvern had a mutation that meant it was constantly covered in a cloud of flies, so it was sat on a dung heap waiting for someone to come close...
Another skirmish that had a rather fun concept was the one that had about four or five tables, the idea being that they were islands floating in the sky. I think creatures that flew could do so between them, everyone else had to rely on various teleportation portals to flit between them.

A pretty accurate summary of events. We hadn't been equipped with bows which was why we couldn't fire back. The turn after Kev left my band squelched off, being right next to the left flank. Everyone else had a few more turns as they were more centrally placed. My outstanding memory of this though was Gary saying we couldn't do that and Kev just saying "Why not?" To which Gary had no answer...
Anyone remember the one I did where the aim of the scenario was to steal the Blood Bowl cup? I'm pretty sure Craig was a part of that one.

I never had any part in this, but even I heard about Garyies skirmish. I remember Sandy telling ne that every on Garyies side started on one side of a swamp any everyone else was in the swamp, moving at hald pace through the difficult ground. Meanwhile, Garyies lot where launching a hail of arrows at them every turn, while they couldn't fire back for some reason. I also recall him telling me that Kev was the first person to just gather his war band and march straight of the table. Sounds like tactically fine choice...

Of course this claim of high-success-rate may have been challenged if I'd taken part in the infamous Gary-Shilton-created skirmish...
(As it was I had to just watch it unfold as I think I'd left my Band's details at home or something.)

I had such fun with my band of Korne worshipers. My band's leader was a highest (25th?) level Human fighter with one mutation, an Uncanny Resemblance. As I didn't know the Warhammer world in huge depth at the time I decided rather then some figure from that world he would be the spitting image of a young Elvis Presley. Thus the naming pattern of my band was born, leading the group was Elvis, his constant companion was a Minotaur called Buddy, and they were joined by several other creatures of Chaos all with names snatched from the annals of 50's & 60's Rock & Roll history.
And they remained for the most part un-beaten, whilst they didn't claim victory on every single skirmish, they were as I recall succesful more then average, indeed they suffered no actual casualties (though one Minotaur did retire due to Nurgles Rot, he left the group to avoid any nasty spread, and thus didn't actually die as part of the Band)
