Some interesting ideas. If we go for the body-swapping idea I'd reccomend a skills-based system like Call of Cthulhu (minus sanity-losing rules) rather than a level-based system like D&D.

I think I'd prefer to do the cyberworld idea from the other side. Rather than being the ones imposing the system I think it'd be more fun to have the cyber worlds be a reward for the upper classes who live there, in a computer generated world of their own design, rather than in the environmentally blighted, economically polarised world they have created. The underclass are kept down, but a few find a way to infiltrate their thought patterns into the virtual world and take over some of the 'NPC' characters there. Then jumping from virtual world to virtual world they attempt to find the rulers there and find some way to bring down the system. It's always more fun to be the underdog I think...--Alex 13:25, 13 October 2010 (BST)

Sure, it could work that way around too. It's certainly one more idea to throw on the pile. I guess many area of the system may have little resemblance to the real world. It might be amusing to run an adventure where the PCs end up in the body of a Pac-man ghost or something equally strange.
System is an interesting point, and not one I've mentioned much. The world of darkness rules would lend themselves well to the idea as well, though I'm not sure how many of us are familiar enough with them to run a game under them. Andy 16:56, 13 October 2010 (BST)
