Talk:The Rise of the Wizard Families

This is just the start. I have a few more ideas to add to this but it starts to get across the idea I have for wizard families. The backdrop to the story is a kind of Renaissance era Italy, while the modern wizard family would be kind of like a Mafia family, but without the crime. In most cases. The few criminal wizard families are a real menace and colour a lot of ordinary people's perceptions of the families.

OK, a bit more expansion. Not complete yet, but its a bit more of an idea of where I'm going with this. Also the extended lifespans that are briefly alluded to are another reason these families have managed to stay in positions of influence; they always take the long-term view and are rarely caught out by fads. --Alex 11:45, 5 April 2008 (BST)
