Smith's Weapon Eating Mace

I think Smith entered play with this item. If so, it was given to Smith by the Order of St Cuthbert to spread his good word and a few brains as well. It is rumoured to have the power to eat other metal weapon but no one has ever seen it even nibble at a dagger yet!
This mace is also rumoured to have a intellect of its own, but Smith maintains that his vest is probably smarter. A claim with a modicum of truth to it given the size of the infestations living in it.
